You'll enjoy it. You'll work hard, learn leadership skills, team work, and learn about yourself a lot.
You get to shoot stuff, clear buildings, and generally look like something you've seen in the movies. It's a lot of fun, although I wish I had the opportunity to do that when I was younger and not now. I'm getting to old to kick in doors, anymore...LOL!
On the other side fo the coin, you'll "hurry up and wait", stand in a lot of lines, and be passed from person to person when you have an issue. Some people will look down on you as a private but depend on you because you're the one who will get things done.
All in all, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world and if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
Good Luck!!!

Yes I like the uniform, But liked him before the Army.
My very close Friend, is a MAJ, been in the Army for 23 years.
he is coming home from Iraq, next week. his son going to
Iraq Monday. So they will not get to see, each other that sucks.
You will have to work hard and play hard. I think you might
like it. why are you wanting to join ? The pay is not to bad.
its great if you are Officer like my friend. More Women,
then you can even think about meeting. My friend even
sent me e-mail, And used another women name.
God I love him, So I forgive him. If you do not mind being away
from your family and friends. My friend has been Iraq, for a year.
thank god, he will be home soon. take care. send me and e -mail if you want sheenfan35@yahoo.com

I like a man in uniform. You make what you want out of your time. You make more friends that become your family. And you can be promoted if you do good.
