Do you think we have traits of who God is as His image built within us like the ability to love, think, reason, create and even though in my belief we have lost allot of the true image of God through mankind's fall do you think in some respects we can be like God?

I don't mean to be all power-ful, all knowing etc but to have His image reflecting in us?

Can we relate to God as beings or is God totally beyond our being that we could not have a relationship with Him?

That He created us in His image simply means that we have the ability to love one another (as He has the ability to, and does, love us), the ability to be kind to each other (as He is to us), etc. But, of course, His "abilities" are much more superior.
And, yes, we can and SHOULD have a relationship with Him; He's our Lord, our Creator, our Provider, so why not? Thank Him for everything, and ask Him to be your Guide.

God is certainly an emotional Being. To think of Him as like us though, can be misleading, because the unregenerate and unrenewed mind of most people are so disordered that their resemblance to God has been as distorted as a caricature on the editorial page of a newspaper. God is strongly emotional as disclosed by the words of Scripture, however His emotions are perfectly subject to His will, and His will is perfectly enlightened by His knowledge and understanding, as He would have ours to be.

God communicates with us on whatever level is expedient."God dwells within you as you". We have unity with God in unconditional love within our hearts. The essence of your being is unconditional love. The concepts of duality disintergrate unconditional love into its many parts, Hence humanities emotions. God is whole, undivided by duality. If you took all the ingredients of emotions, conditional love, fear, anger, hate, envy, jealosy, greed Etc. and baked them for many life experiences into a cake it would be called unconditional love or God. Do not reduce God to human level, rise or awaken yourself to his level

Good question. Unfortunately, I do not have a good answer for that. No one can know the true nature of God.

I think that God is beyond our understanding, but in the Person of Jesus He became human and thus we are able to understand Him in part.

I don't have hissy phits and destroy everyone on earth with a flood. I am sure that people who believe in him make him out to be whatever they seem to want to make him out to be. You can invent anything and it will reflect the people who invent it. I do not have the traits of a homicidal maniac that hides from humanity. Not all love, not all think, not all use reason, not all create. Some do very little and even destroy like god. What fall of mankind do you refer to. I get up everytime I fall.

I think that our goal as people is to try to emulate God as best as we can- to be caring and not selfish,a dn generous without demanding much in return. We have to be as good as we can with what God gave us in our own way.

I believe that the Creator feels what we feel and created us to know that aspect of Itself.

God breathed life into man. Yes we are to be Christ Like. We are joint heirs with Jesus. We can relate to God. You are talking about the inner person, first one to do that.
