God told Moses to strike the rock once for water to quench the thirst of the Israelites.
But, he let doubt enter his mind and disobeyed.
Moses struck the rock twice after the water did not flow instantly.
For this Moses was deprived of entering the Promised Land with his people.
God let him view the Promised Land from the Holy Mountain, though...Moses comissioned Joshua to bring the people into the Land of Milk and Honey.

Moses is the law giver. The Promised Land is a metaphor for heaven.

The Law was never able to get anyone into heaven, so Moses was never able to enter the Promised Land.

Joshua, faithful and true, would accomplish that, and Joshua is an early form of the name Yeshua, which most will recognize as Jesus.

The promise was contingent on Moses obedience. Moses messed up and had to pay for that mistake. His penalty? Not crossing over to the promised land.

The children of Israel had received many promises - and while God maintained his promises - he held back most of them because ALL of God's promises were in agreement form. If they broke the trust with God, they would have (and did often times) break the contract so to speak.

Understand?

whilst water became into struck from a rock, Moses claimed the respect for this that for the duration of basic terms belonged to God. God nonetheless counted Moses as a righteous guy, yet He did no longer enable him to head into the Promised land.

Because he was thirsty. After all moses did to free his people, he gets punished for hitting a rock ONE too many times!! What a way to show some appreciation to his loyal servant. I mean how long was moses supposed to wait for the water? One, two hours? A few days even? They WERE in the desert weren't they? Even after having enough faith to part the red sea, he still wasn't allowed to enter paradise. What chance do the rest of us have? And that's the lesson to be learned here, you're a lousy, no good for nothing loser, who is undeserving of gods love.

Oh by the way I forgot to mention, ITS A BUNCH OF MALARKEY!!

He was obviously not meant to for whatever reason the Lord chose. Could it have been something to do with his stubborness and pride, not being humble enough? Maybe he was an example to others and they could learn from Moses that you don't always get what you think you're going to get in this lifetime. Sorry, I'm not a religious scholar, but just giving you my opinion for what it's worth. The proper person to ask if you want an answer that might help you is from someone who has studied the Bible. Should be someone on here soon.

None of Moses' generation that sinned against God were allowed to enter the promised land. Moses' sin was pride. He struck the rock twice. He told the Israelites : 'Who gave you water when you wanted water? I did !" when they were grumbling about whatever they were grumbling about at the time, and for breaking the stone tablets that God made. The rest of them because they made the golden calf and worshipped it when Moses was gone to get God's law. Only Joshua stayed faithful to God.

Moses actually saw the promised land, but was not allowed to enter it because he knowingly and willfully disobeyed God due to anger.
