He does not seem to have a vision problem but if you talk to him and stare at his eyes you can see them rapidly moving a milimeter back and forth. I have not taken him to the doctor yet I plan to make apointment soon. I noticed it about 2 weeks ago. He does not even seem to notice that his eyes are doing this.

This condition is called nystagmus. It is important to see a DR. asap because while it may be nothing, it could indicate a problem with his brain. This condition is something that sends up red flags in the ER if a child comes in with it since it can mean a brain problem. I was an ER nurse for 15 years.

My 10 year old son started rapid eye movement a month ago and getting worse. He does not realize he is doing it and kids notice starting to say things. He has been on Intuniv a drug for ADHD and since on drug that is when it started to develop. Does anyone else suspect the drug is causing it?

This condition is called nystagmus...how old is your son. If he is a baby then it is a congnital problem and needs to be checked out. If it seems like i is not bothering him that is only because he is used to it and has learned how to compensate. If he is older then he may be doing it on purpose and there is nothing to really worry about it, but you should talk to him, to make sure that he realizes he is doing this.

my son moves his head rapidly from side to side too but only when he is hungry and searching for the bottle :) check to see whether this applies to you too. If not then just talk to your doctor about it !

I have seen it. Not sure what causes it. He seems to have a normal life except he doesn't drive, not sure if it has to do with the eye condition or not.

I know a lot of people who can do this on command. It seems to be a pretty neat trick and there is nothing to be proven wrong with them. I would see if he can control it at all, then see a doctor if it seems troublesome.
