how do you get rid of it?

Cardio is the only way.

Cardio is any exercise--running, jogging, kickboxing, boxing, jump rope, cycling, climbing, jumping, etc--that gets you heart rate up.

When you do cardio, you need your heart rate to be at least 65% of it's max. (your max is 220 minus your age... then multiply that by 0.65 to get the 65% max).

Do this for 30-60 mins a day, 5 days a week.

That, along with a healthy diet, will decrease the fat in your body.

You CANNNNOOT spot reduce fat. When you workout, fat decreases from all over your body. So doing leg lifts or squats or anything like that will not burn fat on your legs specifically.

ahhhh the thighs....every girls HATES their thighs. best exercise for slimming the thighs would be SQUATS! * 3 times per week on alternate days. Start off very light by just using the body weight for 2-3 easy sets of 10 repetitions, then gradually build up the resistance over 3-4 weeks. also walking, rowing or any exercise that works the thighs and other major muscles at the same time will help

You can't spot tone your body (which is where you lose weight from only one spot on your body). Resistance training and Cardiovascular exercise are two great ways to exercise and lose weight. Doing cardio 30 minutes 3 times a week, you should start to see some type difference in your thighs. Remember though, that losing weight isn't only about exercise but eating healthfully.

there is only one way and that is to reduce body fat to a low enough level that fat loss occurs in that region. genetics determines where fat is lost from first and last.

nutrition and exercise are the tools that the body needs to reduce body fat stores

Studies about spot reducing exercises are proven unneffective unless you have lipo. If you work out, you'll lose fat from your whole body, but in no particular order or spot.
