Yes, real people do win...They have to or else PCH would be sued for fraud.

I'm sure that people do win the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes because they would be in trouble if it were a scam. However, your chance of winning is probably 1 in a hundred million or more. They just want you to buy magazines and things that you don't really need. I hate to buy anything from them because the postage often costs more that the item you could buy somewhere else.

I have been entering for years, as much as 20-50 times a day each new contest. I think they are paid actors. But then could be wrong. I have purchased a few things from time to time, but stopping that, because the shipping is expensive. If I see something I could use and was going to buy anyway will check amazon first to see if with free shipping is better. But then hey if I won, might just buy some of the magazines , could afford them then. lol. But 20 years of hoping , is wrong. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Same with HGTV free home, its always people who have nice homes of Business's who win.

I really have know idea but the people on their commercial were so convincing that I went and signed up. Try and sign up its worth a shot. It's not like you're paying for a chance to win.

It's a scam... They ask that you subsribe to mags and other sorts of stuff you know stuff that you don't need or use... This is how they get those millons they supposidly give away but were so stupid that we give into it so some lucky one feeds on those subscriptions, We as dummies pay for it and that lucky one is sitting high and pretty.... By the way nothing is free... We all pay at the end... THINK ABOUT IT... YOU'RE PAYING RIGHT NOW.

this is such a good question. my husband has been participating in publisher's clearinghouse for years. he has never won anything, just keeps getting lots of letters and buying things from them, such as magazine subscriptions, coins, etc. i would compare it to playing the lottery. 1 in a million might win, but then again, if you don't participate, you definitely won't win. chances are horribly slim, but as long as you realize this, it might be fun as long as you don't risk any money.

I've been waiting on the prize patrol for the past three years! It's just a way to get you to buy those damn magazines and other stupid junk they advertise in those packets.

No, its still a scam. I've gotten one of these and it says it's even been on tv. They just say you win, it's still a big scam!
