It's a mistake on their part and you need to call them to correct it. They should readily take off the charge when they see they charged you twice for the same song.

This has happened to me at least 3 times with different companies. The most recent was with an airline.
The booking screen said declined, so I re-entered the data. The bank confirmed I had been charged 4 times for the flight ticket although the airline had no record of the transaction. The bank says it is a problem with the other "company", but this has happened with different companies. This is a serious software glitch. I don't think it is sinister as I have been able to get refunds for the multiple charges, but I would like to know the root cause. Does it occur because I use a VPN perhaps, which doesn't play well with the Windwoes booking form?

Well there are two things you can try. First you can try to call the corporate office of the business and see if they can do anything. If they cannot then go to the bank and file an affidavit. basically an affidavit is a form you fill out for fraudulent charges or charges that you didn't authorize. The bank will then investigate the claim and refund the money back to you. Keep in mind it might take up to 45 days.

Call the business and notify them of the error and ask them to credit your card. Also, call your credit card company and write a letter to dispute the 4 overcharges. Do this asap because you only have 60 days from the statement date to file the dispute.

Five times? There is no rational reason why they should have done that, it's an error. Call your CC customer service at once to have it corrected. These things happen some times.

you probly had to enter ur credit more than once, or its a mistake. all u have to do is call the bank and tell them its charging u more than once for the same thing. but usually they will go away on their own. all purchases are pending first, before they apply to ur account. but if it does, ur not liable, as long as u call the bank

You shouldn't have. I would call the store and the credit card company. Sometimes.....computers do make errors...well it is the operators.
