i tried nyquil and it doesn't work. anything else you know of?

I dont know yr age and weight. It is better not to take any pill for sleeping. Still if you want, just can try One 5mg Diazipine / benzodiazipine each evening. I want you will not go for any pill but just Drink a glass of warm milk with little sugar.

Have you ever been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder? I was recently diagnosed and I couldnt sleep either. Its a symptom of the manic part of the disorder, alot of meds work to put you to sleep, but, I think by far the safest choice would be either Melatonin or Benadryl, which is the exact medicine used in night time sleep aid and is really inexpensive either way. All have some risk of dependancy, but if you cant sleep then you cant sleep...

most of the OTC sleep aides contain diphenhydramine or the more commonly know name benadryl. It is the sleep ingredient in Tylenol PM. this is good for occasional use but if you have a serious problem you might want to consult with your DR.

Melatonin can be purchased at Walmart or most any pharmacy. I
Melatonin is a substance that the body produces to slow down and relax; therefore, should not be harmful.

You can try melatonin.It's a natural sleep aid and you can buy it over the counter. Your body naturally produces melaronin so it helps you to create enough to sleep. or you can try other over the counter sleep aid but they can be habbit forming.

Try the simple stuff like Cammomile tea or even warm milk or cocoa.

I use Tylenol PM, or for the all natural route try Melatonin, its a bit expensive, but its all natural, and can be found at any natural food store. =)

My husband buys the generic wal-mart brand sleep aid , he said it's just as good as the one his doctor gave him.
