Are you doing it in your backyard or in a range??
Either way refuse to wear anything except Goggles and a Jockstrap. Have someone videotape it and put it on you tube.

Wear several layers of clothes and some protective padding and you should be fine. I learned this the hard way--I was shot twice in the knee is the same spot--it hurt really bad, but I was also shot at point blank range which you're not supposed to do. It doesn't hurt too bad, sometimes it just stings--if you're not shot at point blank range! Don't worry just go out and have fun!
Good luck!

It stings a little but not bad. Get him to use red paintballs and you can get some really cool pictures.

a few donts for your first paintball shot....
dont take your shirt off and let someone shoot your bare back....dont let your friend's girlfriend shoot the gun....dont let her stand 3 feet away from you....dont expect her to hit where she is aiming so hold a roll of paper towels behind your head just in case....

Wow, the whole world is playing paintball tomorrow. My first time, too. It stings if it's cold out, so I hear..

Just take one from a far distance first. Don't take it in the face, groin, or any of the obvious places.

well, firstly, go to childs aid.
but anyway, depends on where he hits you. if its your back, butt, or chest, it only stings for a few seconds.
