When we get back, we go through many different medical tests to ensure that we are stable mentally and physically. Those who are found to have recurring issues are given counseling and any other treatment needed to help them out. As for amputees, they are given medical treatment and prosthesis to help them in their new life. some get out with benefits and some stay in.

They've called in civilian psychiatrists to keep up with the amount of soldiers needing help. Trust me, all the help they need is available, but sadly not every soldier is taking advantage of this. Some feel that others may need it more than them. And I think you mean, is the military taking care of them. It's our job as American people to make sure our troops are taken care of, not just the president's.

Afther the Gulf War a program was put into place whereby all soldiers returning needed to be put through a therapy and placement program......given psych evaluation as well. Also, as of this past week, there is (in TX) a rehabilitation center for wounded and psychological affected soldiers.

VA (Veterans Administration) Hospitals help take care of both.
Veterans benefits help support them.
What did you want the President to do personally? Congress controls the purse strings as they love to remind everyone &
the soldiers need the care of doctors.

Let's hope that they get full support from the U.S. government. Pensions, medical help, improvements for thier home, counselling. They should get it all.
