Because people have different beliefs, just as you do, or, non at all.

Oh, is it quite obvious? Really? See, I think of my self as someone who can see obvious things, come to obvious conclusions. And I gotta tell ya, it doesn't seem so OBVIOUS to me that God exists. It might be "obvious" to you, but quite frankly, it's absurd to me. Nice try, though.

And who is the idiot who said "they have been brainwashed to not believe in God"? Really? I'm pretty sure you just confused athiests with Christians. Try again buddy.

One more thing. Some guy say that there are like 10,000 some-odd athiests. News flash: In the United States alone, in 2001 of the almost 300 million UNITED STATES citizens, .09% were atheists/agnostics = that's almost 3 million. Good try there.

As more and more accurate history is being uncovered (dead sea scrolls for example) it's becoming more obvious that the bible is a corruption of true history through misinterpretation and deliberate corruption by early popes. Jesus was a natural healer like so many others before and after him. Back in the day if you could heal someone with your natural energy (which everyone can) you were either a witch or "son of g-d.

Because it's EASIER not to. Those who believe are taking the more difficult path because they have to constantly defend their beliefs, and many are persecuted or worse for their beliefs. It is far easier to "go with the flow" and NOT believe than to go against the current and believe. Those swimming upstream however, have a wonderful reward waiting for them at the end. Those afraid to make the journey will miss out on all the blessings and joy and eternal reward that believing in God and His Son can bring.

If it were obvious, then believing in god wouldn't be faith-based. You have undergone a lot of brainwashing to have the perception that you possess. I know this because I was once a christian and now that I'm not, it is like a huge fog or cloud being lifted from my awareness.

i believe in god and jesus peave be upon him even as a muslim but from all the atheists i seen and talked to they always say 1. beacause they can not see or hear god. 2. with all the suffering in the world where is god, 3. they have not analized science enough to see that religion and science are hand and hand. in our religion it states that god shows the light to those whom hearts are open and god will close off faith to others. i agree with you on why people can be so ignorant and choose not to reconize the existence of god. one aithiest i talked to said that if god was real god would not allow evil people to rule. i see where they can get lost in all of this. (unfortunatly) perhaps if all of us world wide would learn to live in existence with tranquility more people would turn to the teachings of the prophets.

Because some people expect things to be done that a God should do! Like why there's still poverty, ect. if God's supposed to love us all! And some people just don't think it's logical to think that Jesus was a man and a god!

Because people need a reason to continue sinning. They love sin more than God so if they say there is no God they can feel good about continuing to be sinners without any conscience but, it is interesting that the disease Jesus cured the most and it was the most deadly at the time was leprosy with the first symptoms being numbness or loss of a conscience.

Because God gave everyone free will
With that came the right to search for their own truth

The aim of education is the knowledge not of fact, but of values.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.
Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.
Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books.
Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.
Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true

Love & Blessings

In fact, it is not obvious at all. What would you cite as evidence? Can you point at a single thing, of any sort whatever, that is not at least in principle explainable by the laws of science? Will you take the Bible as evidence, notwithstanding its hundreds of errors?

Personally, I see nothing wrong with it. I believe in God and some people don`t. Some people believe in other stuff. It doesn`t matter as long as we are loyal and we have faith.
