First and foremost. You didn't specify what the guy loves to do like hobbies and favorites. Valentines Day is a day for lovers and families also. The social culture during Valentines is that the guy is the most prominent to likely give something for her girlfriend. In respect, you must give something special to him. It is better if you work on the gift alone. You don't need to buy a finished product like a patented t-shirt or caps. ~That would be good gift, a gift that will be cherished until the end.

I love teddy bears! They last a long time and they will remind him of you every time he looks at it. You can get them personalized with your special message and your name so that every time he looks at it he will think of you. Guys like bears but don't have a good reason to keep them around without looking dumb to their friends. But when it is a gift from their girlfriend... that's ok. It shows they've got a thoughtful, loving girl friend with a great sense of humour.
