My mom used to raise chickens and put the eggs in the refrigerator. She said that they would last at least 2 months and still taste fresh. I buy eggs at the store and keep them up to 2 months after the expiration date and they are still good.

Egg Storage. While eggs will keep in your refrigerator for several weeks, it's important to note that they can lose some quality. A little known fact about eggs is that they can absorb odours from your refrigerator if stored in an open container, although this shouldn't be a major problem unless you're storing eggs along side opened containers of onions and garlic or other such strong smelly foods.

Generally it is a "sell by" date on the carton. They are good for a couple of weeks after that.

you should'nt keep eggs in the fridge, the shell is pourous, so they will take up the smells of every thing else in the fridge. get a pottery chicken pot , keep them in there in a cool place.
