no prepaid will not help establish since they are not reported
but secure credits cards ard different
and the ONLY one with a good reputation and is fair is the one offered by Bank of America..
other such as Orachard and others like them charge high fes to the card automtically when you apply in addtion to the mandatory deposit.
go to rip off reports and google orchard secured and any other secure card to see the horror stories about them

Not really credit comes to you by you paying your bills on time and no late charges,and not missing any payments with creditors, that means if you keep that up in good standing then you are building your credit which will get you a credit score,and it is all kept monitored by the three main credit beaus

A secured credit card would work and if you have a little money go to bank that have these. Some do and some don't. Try "Bank of America"
