Yes. My daughter didn't and it took her three tries to pass, the last time she read the book. It's easier to study the book, then face the embarrassment of making an excuse to your friends that did pass. Knowing what's in the book might save you from getting a ticket or in an accident later on. Best of luck on your test. Chow

Do you also plan on refusing to read the road signs as well as the operators manual for your vehicle? What other corners do you wish to cut? If this is your attitude, you should fail! Read the book, know it well!

Probably, there are somethings on the test that you really can't pick up just from driving or observing. You really should read the book.

Most of the question are pretty much common sense, but I do recommend at least scanning through the book.

too tell you the truth the test is not really that hard,,but it would help you alot, and it would not hurt just too read the book..
