I am 45 and cut my hair when I was 34 because I felt that I was too old to have hair to my waist. I had beautiful hair and have kicked my self over and over. If I had it to do over, I would not have cut it all off. Cut a little at a time, get layers. I do understand it is a pain, I wore mine in a ponytail and wondered why bother? So, do those things with it, put it in a braid, leave it down, but after it is gone, its gone.... think about it and go slow!!!

Time to begin changing your look. little by little is a good way to go....But the most important thing is to head to the best stylist in your area....when you make your appointment at a high end salon, ask for a master stylist or either someone who who is older and has been cutting hair for a while. The master stylist will cost you some $$, but for a style that suites your face and body it is well worth it, and don't go there dressed sloppy..dress trendy, so that your hair will match your clothing when you walk out.

As a hairdresser for the reason that 1970, i will claim this absolutely: some hairdressers do exactly not pay interest. Ask your friends about the guy who does their hair. in the adventure that they think of their hairdresser listens and works to make sure what they favor, bypass refer to that hairdresser. I outfitted my career on those who were unhappy with different hairdressers, and had a great number of satisfied purchasers. in case you'll hit upon a image of the coiffure you want once you advance it decrease back out, take that with you. tremendous hairdressers will pay interest, help you advance your sort and finally make you satisfied.

Try on different wigs to find a style that you prefer.
Then, when you are ready to cut your hair....donate it to Locks of Love. Check it out:

The one good thing is, if you miss your long hair...you can grow it out again. I cut my hair 6 years ago (I was 33). I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. Now, I'm not sure I would want it really long again.
Good luck!

I got my hair not too long ago. It use to be really long to the med + of my back and i cut it off to underneath my shoulders it still has a lot of length i guess..but sometimes i miss my long hair! I know shorter hair gives more body plus it makes you older..so whatever you do wish you the best of luck!
