Well this is a bit hard for me to explain...but...im wondering how to get the setup thing from a program...like lets say my friend has microsoft word or photoshop or something like that.... is there a way that i can get the stuff from his computer (like extract the setup or install thing) and put it in a flash drive so i can put it on my computer to install it? Also is there a way to get the key code for it while im doing that?

First, what you're describing is a federal crime. Stealing software is illegal.

Second, no, you can't extract the setup from his computer. The files are usually compressed, and the setup uncompresses them and puts them in multiple places and makes registry changes, so just copying some files won't do anything.

If you want the software, either buy it or find an open source equivalent.

#1 It's illegal. It's called stealing.
#2 If you are able to install it, you will be unable to get updates or fixes.

When you install a new program, Windows takes the key code on the CD, and some information about your computer's components, and mixes them together to come up with its own identification.

Trying to install it on then on your PC may or may not fly -- and it shouldn't.

Just copy and paste it from his computer to a flash drive.
