Take it out. Wash your hands, then wash the whole area. Pour hydrogine Peroxide on it. Let it foam up a bit and dry on it own (about 2 minutes). Put Neosporin on it and cover with enough bandaids for the whole area.

Also, put some hydrogine peroxide in a cup and put the belly button ring in there for at least 10 minutes..

okay if you want the ring keep it in but make a paste of sea salt and water ( or just some salt and water) and rub it around the hole. Tomorrow get a navel retainer and some bactine or some form of antibacterial and take some care of it. I recommend buying H20cean, its great and it helps healing in like two days. IF the discharge from your bellyring is yellow or white then it is okay, if it is green pus then you may want to make a heavier paste of salt or get some medical attention. I used a lot of salt and water as well as some ouch and itch I purchased at a tattoo parlor. You can purchase H20cean (which is like #1 when it comes to cleaning infections and healing piercing wounds in like 2 days flat) on ebay or check your local piercing parlor. You may want to talk to your local Piercing "Artist" about how to keep your navel clean. Mine had green pus and blood drying on the ring, I found out that the ring I had was too small so the hole would not heal thus causing the mess, he gave me a care sheet as well as some advice on a navel retainer (plastic almost invisible ring that keeps the hole from closing). Hope this helps

that happened to me too. Buy SEA SALT from the grocery store, fill a cup about 1/3 of the way with water, and about 2-3 tablesoons of the sea salt. Mix it up. bend over some and put the top of the cup circling your belly button, like suction it, and lean back so its on your belly ring. Sit with it like that for 10 minutes every day. Mine healed within a week

All belly rings get infected just keep putting Neosporin on it if you think it's really bad go back to where you got it done and have them look at it. It can take 6 months to heal. Also make sure you wash it with antibacterial soap when your in the shower.
