Is the Canon GL1 still worth it even though it's old?

Personally, I dont think so. I have a Gl2, and although thats fairly new compared to the GL1, it is still not perfect. I think you would probably be better off getting a GL2 off of eBay, a pv-gs400, or getting an xl1. The xl1's features are basically the same as the Gl1, just with the option of interchageable lens, and I saw one going for $1640 at adorama.com used, although you could probably find even cheaper ones. I got my GL2 for $1505 off of Ebay, including shipping. And although there are cheap HD cams out there, personally, I wouldnt go for them, because the only real cheap HD cam is the HVX200, which is $6000. Hope this helps!
