I use to have insomnia - I would be up till 3 sometimes 5 in the morning on a regular basis. No sleeping pills or anything could help me.
Things didn't change for me until I moved into a house with a west facing window by the ocean. The house is quiet and dark at night. I can hear the waves crashing on the shore and feel the ocean breeze through the window. Suddenly my sleeping hours are regular and flawless.

My boyfriend & I both have insomnia!!! His \has been so bad in the past he has rang me at 3am saying he couldn't sleep, waking the rest of the house up, & asking innocently for me to get a bus & meet up with him (yeah, like that's safe!!!). I bought him a sleep spray by Radox available from Boots, it seems to knock him out so I get less little phone calls now. Avon also do one. It contains lavender oil. It knocks him out, give it a go, it may work, if not, like I suggested to him, get someone to throw the tin at you, it will knock you out, litterally!!! xxx

Raging insomiac here! I needed more sleep though and decided to go with the "better living through pharmacology" route. I now take Rozerem and sleep like a baby.

Oh I do. I always think of Jack in fight club: When you have insomnia, you're never really alseep, and you're never really awake.

I do. I started using melatonin about an hour before I go to bed. It works great so far.

You can get it in any grocery store and it's cheap.
