What's Toyota going to do to NASCAR?

They will be very competitive much quicker in NASCAR than they are in F1. Toyota already has a lot of ground work done on sports car racing, which is much more similar to NASCAR than the same data can be carried over into F1. With the new cars coming out soon, Toyota will be pretty much on the same footing as the other companies, so if they are willing to pump money into the program, and they have shown that they can with their F1 program, they are going to be a serious factor to the established manufacturers.

Toyota is going to pump millions into R&D and put one of the best cars on the track in two years. Ford, chevy and dodge will need to up the ante and hope the companies will put more money into thier cars. I'm not a toyota guy but they will spend the cash. Only a few team in NASCAR now can put that type of money into more than Two teams.

It's making money more of an issue. Roush is already screaming about it....he's complaining about the money they're pumping in and it's making it unfair for other teams to compete....you know...Roush....who owns what 25 Cup teams?? (I think it's actually 6 or 8 but you know what I mean.)
It will hurt the other manufacturers.
Whether it can get a win this first year will be interesting to see. I think they probably will. Michael Waltrip will be a very rich man.

I think one will only have to look at what they have done in Craftsman Truck Series and I think that is what is going to happen. And given the COT, Toyota gets to hit the ground running on building both a regular stock car and the COT where Chevy, Dodge and Ford it is going to be transition to the COT

i hope they don't make it..they don't belong in nascar toyota will take over and ruin nascar if we let them........
