Religions that are in conflict are clearly wrong. Anybody who believes that God is a just and fair God would NOT believe that everyone who didn't believe in him (for whatever reason) was going to hell. What about people who were simply not made aware of God? What about people who were misled by their parents or peers?

I would chose a religion that is accepting of all other religions and state that everyone can have eternal life except people who have clearly done wrong in their life.

Well, many religions offer 'eternal life' the question is where the eternal life will be spent?

Christianity - ie. accepting Jesus' death on the cross for your sins is the only 'religion' that offers eternal life in heaven without a cost -- it's a gift. This grace is a unique concept that is mind-boggling and hard to accept because us humans want to be 'good' people - we like to 'earn' things and feel good about our effort - a reward that we can't work for and don't deserve is hard to fathom and that is what is offered. Most people turn away from Christianity not because they don't want a relationship with God, but because they don't see the same love and grace in other believers, which is unfortunate.

Contrary to what journeyer thinks, there is at least one other religion that offers eternal life as a true gift -- Wicca. And in Wiccan belief, the Gods don't even require that you believe in Them or follow the Wiccan faith in order to qualify: all people, theists and atheists and agnostics and every shade in between, are automatically granted exactly the same blessings. This is not a system where the Gods require your allegiance in order to give you the good stuff. In Wicca, it's truly for all and it's truly for free.

Most Wiccans who believe that consciousness continues beyond death believe in reincarnation, and that the soul returns to an afterlife (often called the Summerland) to rest and be renewed between each incarnation in the world. That said, there are also Wiccans who believe that individual consciousness does not exist beyond death. It's a religion with considerable variance of opinion on many topics.

Since there is no way of knowing "which" one, if any. Live to be a good person and make the world a better place. Religious beliefs are at a stale mate it seems. They all have devout believers who absolutely will never change their minds. Some of them don't try to be good or make the world a better place. So many try to force people to believe what they do. I don't know why this matters. To me it doesn't. I happen to believe in a creator. Looking at how beautiful the creations are, I happen to think he must be pretty aware of things going on. I happen to believe He'd be understanding. Living life and being loving and caring. No matter what you believe. No one can go wrong with that.

All religions are mythology. Organized religion is nothing more than a tool to control the weak minded masses. There are no easy answers to our eternal questions, that is something you have struggle and become comfortable with.

religion is to convince you/us of the truth of the after life,
unbelievers can and do denie they yet live ,knowing you are yet alive after your mind says your dead ensures your ready for reawakening and getting on with living asp

there are so many spirits just sleeping eternity away because they are in denial about still living ,,by having the info from belief your expectations are realised soonest
it matters not so much the religion but that you can accept of the truth when the truth hits you,or a truck does ,so to speak.

pick a belief that focus on god not the messenger but the message ,god is love ,light and truth realised by its signs [life]

They are all different paths leading to the same higher power. The "best" can only be decided by your beliefs and experiences in life- your composition will answer that for you. It's like a puzzle...everything will fit and piece together when you find the right one to associate yourself with.

There is no salvation in any other than Jesus Christ.

You will have to decide, for yourself, if you will believe that.
