I have a friend who found a severely deformed chihuahua puppy in a cardboard box. The dog needs costly surgery to fix his issues. Does anyone know of a discount clinic or probono veterinarian in the Phoenix AZ area who can help? Please, this little dog needs help. Thank you.

His front legs are what is deformed. They are twisted in different directions so badly that he can't use them at all. Thank you for any help you might have. God bless.

Contact the Arizonia Chihuahua Rescue league. http://www.azchihuahuarescue.org/ or call them at 480-844-2447 This is what they do. Rescue deformed and/or injured chihuahua's. Please check out their web site.. and click on Chihuahua's in need. You'll see how they take care of them.
This is why people should NOT breed dogs unless they study genetics and are responsible people. A reputuable breeder would not have left a deformed chihuahua in a box.

I don't know if this will be any help but, I watch the Animal Planet and they have the Phoenix Animal Police on there. They go around rescuing injured, abused, abandoned etc. animals. There is a major animal hospital in Phoenix somewhere. Try the Internet or check with a Veterinary Clinic...or better yet, try contacting the Animal Planet.

Has he been to the vet? Being so young they may be able to splint them and put him on calcium.
Otherwise your best bet is to see if the media will help. They love stories like this one. It gets them the ratings they are looking for and you will get donations to fix his leg. Just make it very heart breaking. You will get more than enough money to fix his legs. You may even get a vet to do the surgery for free.
