I thought he looked real good in his title winning effort against Adamek. If you saw the fight tonight, what are your thoughts on this young, exiciting fighter?

He was terrific. There were flashes of a young Roy Jones in some of the stuff that he did.
He got caught in the 10th because he was too comfortable coasting to a decision. Even after the knockdown, he showed poise and ring smarts in the way he dealt with his reversal of fortune.

I had only seen a couple fights of them previously, and I questioned Adamek's level of oppositon in the past. I didn't think Dawson had much of a left, but that was proven wrong.

I thought it would be a close fight, but Dawson was obviously a much better opponent than Adamek had previously faced. Adamek was confused by Dawson's stance, but I still give credit to Dawson defensively.

Dawson showed some vulnerabilities, but that makes the fight that much funner to watch. It was a great showing for him.

HE made the fight look easy. Considering he was taking on an undefeated veteran champion I was very impressed. He seemed to be able to land at will and though the one knockdown he scored was really an offbalanced trip he followed trainer Mayweather's advice well and deserves props. I am not sure how he would do against an aggressive Glenn Johnson or someone who does exceptionally well against south paws like Bernard Hopkins but he is definitely deserving of a top 5 spot among the light heavyweights with this win.

He made it look easy. Took Adamek to school. I believe the knockdown in the tenth happened because he got a little comfortable. He was smart enough in there to recover from the knockdown and win.

He fought a good fight. He made one mistake but was able to continue. If I had one fault with what he did he should have taken it to Adamek in the last round. He was following his corners orders because they knew he won most of the rounds but you never know.
