Your diagnosis is probably wrong. Have you got a temp gage? If it moves up you should get warm air. If your thermostat didn't let water into the radiator, where the warmth for the car interior comes from, Your car would over heat.
Check to see if your fan works. If it does, your cars interior has a small radiator looking thing under the dash on the passengers side. It could be plugged up. Or the lever that opens it may be jammed. You also may have a vacuum leak that causes the controls on your dash to not work. This is the most likely problem. If you have a friend that is 1/2 way mechanically inclined they may be able to check this and fix the leak easily.
At most a repair like this would run 1 to 2 hours labor.

first you need to check the level of the engine coolant.make sure it's at the full mark.if it's full feel the upper and lower radiator hoses and they should be both hot..if they are not both hot,i would start with changing the thermostat. the new one comes with a rubber sealing ring it's part of the new thermostat.it has a notch in it so it will fit in the thermostat housing only one way..two 10mm bolts hold the housing to the cylinder head ..very easy job to do good luck..

make sure there is coolant in the radiator. then make sure the top radiator hose gets warm. if not the thermostat needs replaced. then check that the hoses to and from the heater get hot. a thermostat is cheep about 10 dollars. changing is easy for any shade tree mechanic.

First check your coolant level in your radiator, a thermostat will go for about $5..... get someone to put it in, that will take like 10-15 minutes.

Sorry Dodge man, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one, thermostats usually fail closed, however the problem described here is the heater not the engine temp.
Get the heater core checked, they tend to clog, and restrict the flow of water through them. Trollkepr, is pretty much spot on.

Cheak the anti freeze in the radiator and make sure it is full. If it is then you need to take it in and get the sensors checked. If the antifreeze is low make sure that you put the same color antifreeze in.

hmmm, does your a/c work? if not the problem could be electrical i.e relays or maybe you need a new blower motor. I would go to a mechanic.
