Very, very good point. Why is there a issue when it comes to our bodies period. Every part has a purpose i can't understand why we act so immature about body parts.

In our culture, complimenting a person's sexual characteristics is impolite, unless you are intimate with that person. If all you're concerned about is products of DNA, then why not compliment someone on their body hair, or disparage them about their bad teeth? In our society, it is customary to comment on neutral features, not on those that carry a sexual or negative message; logic is not the guiding factor, but courtesy.

Well, even though they are both DNA, compliments about breasts are sexual. And that can be very offensive. Those compliments are ok at a strip club but not anywhere else.

It hurts women's feelings when you only stare at their breasts and don't look them in the eye - they think that you don't care about them as a human being, and just see them as a piece of meat that you can use as a living sex toy.
With that said, I have to say that, as a man, it's hard NOT to notice a woman's breasts sometimes - especially if she is very top heavy and she is wearing a low cut cleavage revealing top.

Of course. If it was the second, there would be lawsuits flying all over the place. Do you honestly want men coming up to you to tell you that you have nice breasts. You are more than a pair of boobs.

Men are inherently afraid to complement a sexual part of a woman's body, thinking he will get a negative response. So, most men choose to try to steal glances...we all look, and I, of course, would love to feel comfortable enough with someone to tell them that I think they have great assets :o)

Next time a man compliments you on your eyes ask him what he thinks of your breats. I am sure you'll get an answer.

Oh grow up. Its etiquette reason's. And people would probably thing that its wrong especially with kid's and young people around. Its never OK especially if they are not your husband. And can be considered Sexual Harassment if they do so.

I'll answer with a question. Would you compliment a man on his crotch and not his smile?
