was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

I don't know. I lost a baby through miscarriage, and I saw the baby on a sonogram before that happened. It broke my heart. Many parents lose a baby through death or lose a young child. This is very tragic. I don't know why babies suffer, some are born with very painful or debilitating birth defects, some are born with fetal alcohol sydrome, and the list goes on. It breaks my heart. I know that it does not give God joy to see these things happen to babies. God allows things to happen for a reason though, even if we don't understand the reason. Often the reason will be made clear many years later, when one can look back and see how the thing that happened to the baby was bad, but things that happened as a result of that bad thing were good. If you are asking this quetion because you have experienced something bad which happened to your own baby or know of a baby that something bad has happened to, then I want you to know that you have my profound compassion and heartfelt sympathy. It isn't much, but I hope it is a comfort to know that others care.

I dont know im not "God" I dont create babies.
But i can tell you what a psychic Silvia Browne said in a dream book which makes alot of sense to me if you look at it through faith's eyes...I can only speak through faith.
well first, we have souls. which means we are not only our brains and body, we have a spiritual consciousness, therefore that baby's soul is either in the spiritual dimension of the universe or that baby is in a state of reincarnation. She also gave an example of how a woman had a miscarriage because of her physical condition but the baby's soul did not want to be disabled in life so it chose to come into the mother's soul at a later time. And the story goes on to say that sylvia browne thought that the baby she had after her miscarriage was the same baby/soul that left when she had a miscarriage. So if you look at it through faith in the unseen and you believe and trust that everything is in "God's" hands, when bad things happen to babies remember there is a spiritual reason for it to say the least, and maybe things arent that bad. I dont know about abortions though. I think if a baby is aborted i think the person should get over their guilt, seek forgiveness and move on. But that baby that was aborted, again, if you have faith, you would trust the baby's soul is in God's hands...

Many people among mankind see good things as bad and bad things as good. Not all mankind agree on anything, because nothing is absolutely good or absolutely bad, but all depend on what balance a man is using.
Is water good? Yes and no! It is good with a wise man using it pure with a dose suitable to his need; it is bad with a fool using a big amount of poisonous water; and still this is not absolutely true.
So, we have to learn for our whole life to reach some knowledge instead of imposing relative values on other people.

ask the babies. Plus "bad" is a relative term. What you would classify as bad might be exactly what that soul needs on their path to remembering God.

It's all just part of the life cycle. We are in this life for a purpose, and perhaps they had already served their purpose. I had a son who died at 6 months old, so I would like to think that his purpose on earth was complete. But I know he is spending his eternity in heaven with God.

Because people choose to abort, because the world is not perfect, because mothers do not take care of themselves during pregnancy by doing things such as smoking during pregnancy, because not all babies are meant to live long lives, etc, etc. there are many reasons.

Because of the Law of Sin and Death. The principle of corruption is at work in the world. Every baby will die - perhaps not for a hundred years, but they will die.
