I once worked the airlines, and during training some of the agents told me that they will go out of their way to help passengers (such as booking them on another carrier) if they act friendly. It really depends on the agent you talk to. They don't have to help, but if you talk to the "right" person, and are in a good mood, they might help you out on their own. I worked briefly for US Airways.

I know when I flew with Continental, I could usually get a re booking for free if I talked to the right people. If I didn't hear what I wanted from one agent, I simply went to another. This has also worked with Delta. Some agents will go out of their way for you, and some won't. But, one thing is for sure, a good attitude will usually get you somewhere.

Now, some people will say that you need to be rough with the airlines. I am in no position to argue with that. My Mother fought American Airlines a few times when they made sudden changes in her flight plans. She was anything, but nice. She also got what she wanted.

In my opinion, it could go either way. Maybe if the airline does you a big wrong, you should get ugly. If you just need a favor or if the wrong if slight, then be nice. I'll leave it up to you.

I rank my answer 3 out of 5 Stars.

Mmmmm, the airline wouldn't want to help you with that, obviously (they'd be losing business), so I doubt you'll be able to get them to help you.

You MIGHT be able to get some refund, and then make your own new flight arrangements with another airline, if the new airline has any seats available...

But I wouldn't try to get your current airline to arrange your new flight. Sorry- confusing :)

particular. it somewhat is a great one. Be your self. via the time you get to the main suitable interview point, the organisation is generally confident which you have the certainty and adventure required to do the job. What they are extremely desirous to understand now's in case you have the superb character to circulate with the job--they opt to understand which you will fit in with the staff and likewise the airline consumers. in addition they opt to understand which you have the superb seem--they opt to understand which you seem professional, yet additionally friendly and approachable.

if you start yelling and making a scene people will do almost anything for you to stop. so I would say give that a try, and if it doesnt work, what have you lost? You're not going anywhere anyways.
