well i recently updated to wondows XP. i didn't do it. I went to a computer place. Anyways now I cant seem to be able to write papers because I dont have Microsoft Word.
What can i do?
do i have to buy the software?

Very simple solution. As some of the others have stated get openoffice. It is just like MS Office only better......free and less problems. Try it and you will love it. Totally compatible with MS Word for writing your papers.

Well did you have any type of office progarms before you upgraded? and what version O.S. were u running? most likley you will need to buy the software, either office xp or office 2003 I am running office 2003 , this includes latest of the software, word,excel, microsft powerpoint, microsoft out look email program. etc.. Good Luck...

After that, you'll decide on to improve your pc to residing house windows Vista or 7 or purchase a clean pc preloaded with Vista or 7 on it. yet i suggestions residing house windows 7 or perhaps residing house windows 8 at the same time as the time comes.

www.openoffice.org will give you a FREE software package that is compatible with office.

Their software suite duplicates the functionality of Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access. I like free. Free rocks.

well if u already own microsoft word, put the cd back in the computer and re-install it. It will ask you to register it, so just say your re-installing and your fine

Yes. If you need MICROSOFT WORD you'll need to buy it.

Otherwise, you can download OpenOffice from http://www.openoffice.org/ and use that instead. It's free
