The marshmallow is a confection that, in its modern form, consists of sugar or corn syrup, beaten egg whites, gelatin that has been pre-softened in water, gum arabic, and flavorings, whipped to a spongy consistency.

The sugar or corn syrup, the egg whites, and gum arabic will all burn.

Marshmallows are primarily sugar, gelatin, and corn syrup. Sugar carbonizes when it gets hot, so that accounts for the burning.

Burn spray in case you have it. not something worse than a sugar burn! that's in reality what you have. Sugar burns do something chemically on your epidermis, making it plenty worse than different burns.
