There will indeed be another global influenza pandemic. We are overdue for one. It is only a matter of time. While H5N1 has all the markers of a pandemic strain, it may not be the cause of an imminent pandemic. There is no telling when the next pandemic will occur. But careful planning for it now is essential.

Well we all hope not, But the biggest risks are the poverty stricken farmers in Asia. These gus t hide the fact that their birds are sick, mainly because it means a lossof income and no compemsation if their stocks are slaughtered.
Migrating birds also pose a large risk to its spread. its the travel problem , like all the diseases we get are mailny transported into the country by commuters from other countries. If a flkue strain surfaces in Asia and then suddenlt get into Europe or England then it was brought here by a traveller. Same with the birds.

Most diseases have a peak, where they appear to get to a point where the organism burns out or mutates itself and becomes less virulent. Or goes the other way and becomes a new suv=bstrain that is more contagious than its previous personality was. Ebola was this kind of worry.
