You could figure it out by multiplying 31 * 80, since you'll basically work 80 hours every two weeks. If you work more than 80, then take those extra hours and calculate time-and-a-half pay.

Example:

Week 1: 43 hrs
Week 2: 47 hrs
Total: 90 hrs
Regular pay: 80 hrs
Overtime: 10 hrs.
Hourly rate: $31/hr
Regular pay: $31/hr * 80 hrs = $2,480
Overtime pay: $31/hr * 10 hrs * 1.5 = $465
Total Pay : $2,480 + $465 = $2,945

This is your gross, or pre-tax, pay.

I can't tell you how to calculate take-home. I don't know what your federal tax rate is, how many deductions you will claim, whether you have a home or any investments that you can claim on your taxes, what your state tax rate is, or whether you pay local taxes, union dues, or have any other withholdings coming from your paycheck. All of these plus Social Security and unemployment tax are held from your paycheck, and the exact amounts will be a little bit different every week for every person unless you work exactly the same amount of hours every week.

$31.00 x 80 hours = biweekly gross. That's 4th grade math.

Not enough information to determine take-home after taxes though. Would need your filing status, exemptions claimed on W4, your dependency status and whether or not state income taxes are withheld.

SS & Medicare withholding is 7.65%, Fed tax at that pay rate would be around 20% or so if single plus 3% - 8% for state income tax. Aside from the SS, those are VERY wild guesses.

$31/hr * 80 hrs = $2,480 gross pay

Deductions depend on where you live (insurance deductions, some states don't have a state income tax, etc.), but figure about 25% or thereabouts.

$2,480 * 25% = $620 in taxes

Takehome = approx. $1,860 biweekly.
