First of all, please try to ask the question properly. I understand from your question that you are from Tamilnadu. Unlike what tanshi_chauhan says, India will have one of the top economies in the world by 2020. This was reported by Goldman Sachs and also in BBC. Of course this is only GDP. But the per capita income will be low and not anywhere close to US or other Eu countries. But that alone (i.e. GDP) is a giant step and it can only get better for India. The biggest problem facing India and holding back its development is the lack of development in rural areas. The recent explosion of growth is concentrated in bigger cities but they can only grow so much. Eventually, this development will spread into rural areas.
One final advice for you. I came from a rural town from your neighboring state of Andhra. I am not sure why they are not teaching English well in your school. I went to government school and English was never an issue for me. Try to work on your English skills (writing/speaking). That will take you long way. Good luck and don't worry, change is just around the corner.

India cannot become a developed country till the middleclass people stop using their narrow mentality. India's most negative
point is ,this is the only country which welcomes people from
different countries . instead of developing in 2020 i think india will be more worse country then what it is now . Developing india means removing poverty from india. providing at least the basic
necessities to the poor , not by developing the roads of india . if
roads of india are to be developed then first poor people should be provided fundamental necessities. they also do not like to sleep on the roads but they are forced to sleep there as they do not have any space in such a big country .

Time is cyclic not linear.
Yes India was the most developed and will be again.Bharat was paradise created by God.That is why Bharat is praised so much.Next only to God.
What He did was teach spiritual knowledge and changed human beings into dieties. They were masters of the world. The earth was renewed and the mines became full of gold and diamonds. The land became fertile and so there was health, wealth and prosperity.

2020 is the future, so we don't use "became" We would use: "how can India become a developed nation in 2020?". Yahoo answers has a button, called the "check spelling" button.
not "pepole", but "people", not "idiea" , but "idea" etc...
It would help India if they would study hard to master a language, either their own or English or any other.
I assume (I hope) you are a student, if you need any help to improve your English, don't hesitate to ask...I am willing to help you.

With so much corruption and scams, all they can become a Bollywood Nation. It is shame on them as the society has to send a clear message towards the development of the country. Indians educated class need to step up and stop this miserable corruption, but everyone is so busy with their own agenda of making a quick buck and not paying attention. The Politicians are completely taking advantage of this situation. The best they can become is similar to country like Brazil, at best

Hi,
India is a fast developing nation. We need to look at ways and means to accelerate the development. Indian philosophy and culture are way ahead of western philosophy and culture. The people living in our villages possess vast knowledge of life. They are more happier than their counterparts living in the cities. They are happy because they are not greedy. They find pleasure in sharing their treasures with the needy in their neighbourhood.
Development is an ongoing process. There is no meaning in setting a target date for development. Let big visioneries dream about development beyond their span of life. Let us ordinary people, continue to do what we consider best for the society in which we live in. Let us continue to share our joys and woes with our neighbors.

i think everything is possible.but a few steps are to be taken.A mission can't be successful until it's done faithfully.1st every citizen has to spend at least 10minutes of the day to think about the nation i.e.every citizen has to be an active partner of the country's development. How to be an active partner??? suppose,u come across a neglected orphan child on the road.then take a little difficulty,go to an orphanhome and admit the chiid. In everymonth, visit him to kmow about his development.if every citizen involves him/herself in this noble work, then a oneday we can visualise our deeam india absolutely povertyfree and with full of ignited minds.

Use current wealth to build basic sustainable infrastructure.
(guarantee supply of food, water, sanitation)
Identify more advance infrastructure and build those (schools, telecommunication, roads, hospitals). Make education mandatory, especially those that help build infrastructure.
The rest will follow.
