Single 30ish and recent graduate with mountains of student loans. The question is at what age is it considered socially unacceptable to a future girlfriend to still have a roommate.

First this is not a Chriatian guy question? For the Bible does not speak of such things as this. If the Bible doesn't say anything about it then as a Christian you cannot speak for or against a matter? To answer the question I think you maybe confusing living with mom or dad with roomates. No person should care either way unless they want you alone in your bedroom and that is not a Christian person that would want that.

Dude. Some girl may frown on a guy having a roommate at your age but if your loans are from law school or medical school or something like that and you are paying your own bills then it is not an issue. It might be an issue if it is a one bedroom apartment with one bed unless you are biological brothers. In other words chillout.

Well if your student loans are from Medical School than that's ok. But if they are from your 6+ years of partying at Podunk University then it's a little pathetic to be living with another man past 30.
Girls will pick up on that and factor that in. Of course, every girl wants to date a doctor so that would be a plus.

Well... There is nothing wrong with a room mate and what does Christianity have to do with anything but... You are 30. I think its time you at least get an apartment or something. Think about your 30 and looking for a wife maybe. She won't want you if your living with someone else. BUT... you you own the house or what ever and that person is paying you rent it shows that you have some responsibility. But still you need to be on your own at 30 something.

it depends on the roomates. ive dated guys with roomates and some were great and other werent. some roomate were really cool and let us have our space when we were together, but others would be mean and want to listen to our conversations. age doesnt really matter. many girl understand that living on your own can be hard at times. she should be glad that you are not a bum and wont pay off your bills, and if that means living with roomates, then thats the way it will have to be. if she is not happy, tell her it could be worse, you could still be living at home with your parents.

i dont see anything wrong with guys being roommates at any age...two separate rooms and baths...there is nothing wrong with it...anything to help with the bills...my boyfriend (who is 29) had a roommate up until christmas 05...as long as your roommate respects who you are and respects your time with a future girlfriend...then there is nothing wrong with it..i would consider it unchristian like to have a girl as a roommate...just like for me I would not want a guy for a roommate until I got married....

well considering your age....i'd say its time for you to have your own place...but it might be best to still have a roomie till your student loans are almost paid off. i'd have to say 33-34 years old is too old for having roommates.

well that depends there buddy. some people have roomates their whole lives or until they find the right girl or guy to settle down with and make a home with them. so more or less it depends on how comfortable you feel living with a roomate while you and your girl/guy have quality time down the hall.

You can have a room mate at ANY age. If you choose to have somebody share your living expenses (rent, electricity, phone, etc.) methinks it would be YOUR business, nobody else. Just my opinion.

there is not real age limit if he has student loan maybe this the cheapest way he get by.
