Its hard to find the exact recipe but here is something i have made before that is kind of simmilar-hope you like it!
3-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup condensed evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
Cream the shortening with an electric mixer; gradually add the brown sugar and cream well. With mixer running at medium speed, add the egg, evaporated milk and vanilla, and beat well.
Reduce mixer speed to low, and blend in dry ingredients gradually. Mix well.
Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into shapes with a cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 400°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Here's a recipe for 'Langues de Chat' (cat's tongues) cookies. They're similar to the Pepperidge Farm Bordeaux cookies.

Ingredients:
4 oz. butter
4 oz. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 egg whites
7 oz. flour

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Don't grease the baking sheets.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, vanilla, and sugar until pale and smooth. Add the egg whites, little by little, then fold in the flour with a metal spoon.
3. Put the mixture in a piping bag with a small, plain, round tip and pipe strips about 3 inches long directly onto the baking sheets, spacing well apart. Bake in the oven for approximately eight minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
