how long does it usually take for drug test results to come in from a clinic? who will know first? employer or me?

When I took my drug test, I didn't even find out my result. My employer gave me a form that I took in to the clinic and I guess the clinic gave the form back to the employer directly. The results should be back within a week.

I have noticed from other postings that there are a lot of responses that say, If you don't take drugs, then you have nothing to worry about taking a drug test. Granted, that is a fair argument and probably true but there are people who don't take drugs who are oppossed to drug testing because it goes against the notion of a free society. If you have nothing to fear, then why not let the Feds randonly search your house, tap your phone, and monitor your bank accounts?
How do you know that the companies who administer drug testing are not also testing for defective genes in your DNA so that they can screen you out for insurace reasons?
Mutual relationships are based on trust. What is your employer offering you in exchange for this little peek into your personal life? Are they letting you take a peek at their books to see if are solvent or if they pay their taxes?
