it suggests a need to release repressed emotions and/or anxiety. At times urination may have sexual connotations. Many people dream about the need to urinate which wakes them up and then they realize that they need to use the bathroom. At times the dream triggers the physical sensation and other times the physical sensation may become a part of the dream

I've never done it but I worry about it sometimes! I frequently incorporate it in my dream when I have to go; I'll be dreaming I have to go, find a restroom and then it won't come (because I'm not really in the restroom of course) and sometimes I dream this quite a while before I wake up. I'm always worried that some day, I will truly believe I'm sitting on this dream-toilet and I'll pee in bed instead of waking up... it's not happened yet but knock on wood! I also incorporate other things in my dreams, sometimes when the alarmclock goes off I'll dream of an alarmclock that I'm trying to turn off and I can't, no matter what I try (of course, since I'm hitting the dream alarm-clock and the sound is for real). Sometimes I wake up 10-15 minutes later because of that. Most other times I'm aware I'm dreaming -never have a nightmare either 'cause as soon as anything gets scary or even annoying I just bend it to my will- and I just hope that awareness is strong enough to keep me out of real trouble.. but it's a bit worrying sometimes.
I think you did fine cleaning up after yourself, if it was all clean you don't have to say anything. Maybe you can sometime bring up the topic of dreams with a less embarrasing example -you're welcome to use my alarm clock, the phone ringing, or think of something similar :)- and see how she feels first, if she's ever experienced anything even remotely like that. If she has, she'll be more likely to understand.

This happened to me many times when I was about 12 and sharing a bed with my sister (who was so disgusted with me). I dreamt I was in the bathroom and when I woke up it was too late. I had to get up, change my pj's, and put a towel under me over the wet sheet. I have no idea why that kept happening.
And, no, I would not tell your friend. You took care of the problem by washing the bedding.

No, but I did have a dream like that and woke up to go use the bathroom. I never actually wet the bed. You don't actually have to tell her, you took care of the mess and she wouldn't want you to sleep over as often thinking that you might be a problem if you told her about it.

I've never done this but I've thought I have... it was just sweat. LOL! I think you did the right thing. You can tell her later. She'll probably get a kick out of it! I would. She's your friend... what's a little pee on the bedding between friends anyways right? And, you cleaned it up so no harm done.

yes that happened to me many years ago. I think you should have pretended to spill a cup of water on it (even if you have to break the glass), because I would have done that, and yes, offer to wash the bedding like you did. Don't worry about it. I'm sure it's just a one time thing and won't happen again.

yes i have. i believe it is a common phenonmenon with young women, especially is they've had a lot of liquid before going to sleep and not relieveing themselves prior to climbing into the bed. once is enough for it to happen to never forget that it did.
you were right to take care of the laundry. later, when time has past, then you can tell her - and apologize of course.

I do this thing that when I am dreaming of going to the bathroom or asking people for a bathroom in my dream - I usually force myself to wake up. Usually when you are dreaming it it is because you have to go.
