So long story short... I have to come up with $150,000 by the 21st of the month and I have no clue how I am going to do it. I have bad credit, do not own anything, I currently have no job, I have friends that love and care about me but they are in no financial position to help. I do not have parents. I know I am pretty screwed but this is still something that has to be done by the 21st. If anyone can give me some advice, please let me know. I'm sorry about your situation.

To be frank, you are not going to be able to legally or safely get this amount of money by the 21st given your situation. Nobody legitimate will lend it to you with no job and dinged credit.

So your time between now and then is best going to be spent not trying to figure out how to make a financial miracle happen..but rather figuring out what is going to happen on the 21st when you don't have the money.

If you get yourself emotionally prepared and make all the other arrangements you need to make by then, you are going to have the best possible situation--even if "best possible" is still really bad.

Are you going to have to move/lose a house? Are you going to have to surrender a car? Are you going to have to declare bankruptcy? Are you going to have to not pay some creditors?

Once you have this list down--the "worst possible scenario" list, then you can think about how to mitigate each of those bad things. Can you talk to a lawyer about how to shield you from prosecution or from foreclosure? Can you talk to a friend about putting you up for three months rent-free until you get back on your feet? Can you talk to one of your creditors, explain the situation, and get some mercy?

Best of luck to you!

well you didn't say what the debt is for, but truth is if you don't have it, you just can't come up with it. what can anyone really do. really think about it, what can they take from you to get 150,000, when you have nothing to give. you can't get blood from a rock no matter how much you beat it. so do what you can if anything and if not, really, what can they do. you don't have it. it's like asking you to fly, you simply can't. so don't stress about it. they can reduce the fee, set you up on a payment plan other than that, what?

so what is going to happen on the 21st
your not going to have the 150k you know that
so your best prepared for whatever consequnces that will arrive on that date, be it what ever they may be
it will not be jail
debtors will not get jail time
you can file for bankruptcy
but be aware certain debts escape this ( tax, student loans )
