I had two tv's connected to a receiver, but when it was upgraded to an HD receiver , I lost the signal in the regular tv. Is there a way to connect the HDtv and the tv without an extra box?
The regular tv is one of those undercabinet basic tv's, and can't be setup on AV4 like the HDtv

HDTV and SDTV are not compatible with each other. Deal with it.

there are techniques to do it (X10 "Video Sender", run the wires by the wall, etc) yet why? you gained't like SDTV pictures on an HDTV ... or maybe a lot less over composite. you want HD programming to have a good time with the HDTV ... so get an HD receiver and use the HDMI cable you so properly envisioned wanting.

If your basic TV has only an RF connector, then you will need a composite video (yelow cable) or S-video to RF box, available at RadioShack

Here is an example:

I would recommend RCA jacks they are usually color coded and easy to install.
