It seems that every belief in god is based on feelings and emotions. That people feel so strongly that some kind of god is watching and taking care of you and helping you. But as humans we have a very limited view on the world. We see the universe from one perspective. So why should the entire universe conform to our dreams and wishes?

With everything that we DO know about the Cosmos, through science, we see things that do not show a creator of anykind. Any creator that humans could ever dream of or imagine. It shows something so much more. The beautiful mystery of the universe shows something that humans can't even think of.

But with science, we have chance to understand what some of those mysteries are. I would much rather KNOW than just believe. The more you know about the world, the better your chances of survival are.

yes you are right faith is based on emotion.. emotion is a beautiful thing that we are blessed with/ born with. why not use it?

like you say our views are limited with faith.. which is fine.. you cant really expect one person to know everything about god and how it all works.. all we can do is go with what we feel AND know.

i believe there can be a balance between our minds and emotions.

i am someone of faith.. and i understand the possibility that i MIGHT be wrong... and thats fine. until i see some physical proof there isnt a god i am sticking by what i believe. that can go for you too, but of course with the proof that there IS a god.

i dont claim to know everything... or how everything started.... all i can offer is ideas, possibilities, and my beliefs.

i am open to science... i am open to faith.. i think we as human beings can find a happy balance between the two.

So YOUR god is science? If humans cant even think of what the universe is, how can they know for certain that God does NOT exist?
If we dont understand the creation, how can we understand the Creator? We can only take His word on what He is. Our puny science and small minds will not prove or disprove the existence of a supreme being. Science DOES point to a creator, though. Do you really think that this orderly universe, with all its repeatable laws and consistent actions could have happened by accident? Can there be a design (which is what we see through science) without a Designer? What started everything? Is it more rational to believe in God, or in magic?

By learning to know myself under the guidance of a divine Educator, I come to know the Will of the One True God. I cannot know Him, but only His will.
His Will is that I must love other people selflessly. No humans can have this will, so no one can teach this lesson. If I am not consciously confirmed of this truth, I also hesitate in practicing it. Then, after application, I realize more clearly that this love brings me greater joy in experiencing the nearness with mankind and the nearness with the One True God.

"He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or powers or rulers or authorities: all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together....in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge...See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elementary principles of this world rather than on Christ; for in Christ all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form." (Colossians 1:15-7; 2:3,8,9)

"No man has ever seen God, but God, the only begotten Son, who is at the Father's side, has made Him known."
(John 1:18)

The Bible is not a science book, yet it is scientifically accurate.

One of Jesus' disciples said to Him, "show us the Father". His response was, "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father". You can find out the character of God by studying the person of Jesus Christ, and that can be found by reading God's word, the bible.
