Bleach? Definitely not. You should try:
1. Warm salt water
2. Hot tea (doesn't really cure a sore throat, it just relieves it for a few minutes)
3. Mix lemon and honey together and heat that up to drink
4. Throat drops

God lord NO....bleach is not for oral disinfectant......its for surface disinfectant or laundry use , things like that . Try using table salt and water as warm as you can stand it. The water needs to be cloudy looking. Just a small glass, like 6 oz. It will take the soreness out. Also, this is still cold and flu season and it could be something more serious. Go see your doctor just incase. Good luck and NO BLEACH !!!!!!!!

DONT GARGLE WITH BLEACH! it contains tonnes of really harmful chemicals!
i know someone who had to have their stomach pumped because they got drunk and mistook a bottle of bleach for alcohol. it wasn't pleasant.
if you have a sore throat take some asprin, see how you feel in the morning, then call a doctor if you're not feeling any better or if you feel worst.
yeah bleach may be a good disinfectant, but not for cleaning tonsils....

NO,NO,NO.Bleach is a good disinfectant if you're cleaning the toilette, but not to ever be taken internally! You can get a coffee cup and fill it with moderately warm tap water, add one-half teaspoon table salt and stir. Gargle with this about twice a day. (Do not Swallow) This will help get rid of the sore throat.

Absolutely no! Bleach is corrosive and could eat away at your throat. There are some "old wives tales" that help some such as cider vinegar or salt water gargle, eating a spoon full of honey to sooth the throat, etc. At health food stores there are lozenges that you suck on made of Slippery Elm, those work pretty well. Again, please do not use bleach!!!!!

WOW NO! NO NO NO! Gargle with salt water. Boil some water in a kettle, pour it into a glass jar or whatever, put salt in it, and gargle. Then you can save the rest in a jar to gargle frequently throughout the day. Never let that bleach thought cross your mind again...

Certainly not! The soreness in your throat comes from inflammation. Mildly hot salt water is an excellent gargle as well as hot water with crushed mint, honey and lemon. The honey helps reduce swelling, per a Martha Stewart article on healthy living as well as lemon helps to cut mucus. Hope you feel better. JT

Even though Listerine tastes kind of yucky, I would use that instead. It still probably tastes better than bleach. You need to kill the germs in your throat to stop it from hurting. Or salt water, as it draws out the soreness and the swelling. Also get a new toothbrush so you don't keep sticking the sore throat germs back in your mouth.

NO!!!
Bleach will kill the tissues of your throat and cause a lot of damage. Chances are your bodies healing system will take care of it but if it lasts more than a couple of days you may need to see a doctor to get some antibiotics that are specifically designed to deal with the bug that is infecting your throat.

Yes, you can. There are many arches written by dentist that instruct clients to dilute bleach and use as a mouthwash. One gallon of water to 2 teaspoons of bleach. Some dilutions vary. Be sure bleach is hypochlorite and NOT hypochloride.
