Give him this info:
You can EASILY never have to deal with another horrible, awful, nasty cold-sore for the rest of your life!!
I got them every winter my whole life until 3 years ago (I'm 36 now) and they were the BANE of my existence...the whole process took weeks to heal and would leave a scar for at least 2 months sometimes!
I was reading a message board on www.curezone.org and discovered the PERFECT remedy for both healing them and preventing them completely:
OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT
http://curezone.com/foods/oliveleaf.html...
So, I buy the liquid tincture by "HerbPharm" and it has not failed me ONCE...Whenever I'm feeling drained, tired, stressed, or get that tingly feeling on my lip, I just load up on this stuff.
This is the one I buy: http://www.myvitanet.com/olleafex1ozh.ht...
You can also get Olive Leaf at Whole Foods Market, and other natural food stores.
Very cheap.
The first time I tried it, I was actually halfway into a major eruption and I drank a bunch of the extract in some water.
AS I WAS DRINKING the stuff down, I could feel the swelling on my lip shrinking...I was in such shock--I ran to the mirror--it was shrinking before my eyes and within ten minutes my lip had returned to NORMAL...I began kissing the bottle of Olive Leaf...yeah, I really did!!
I had tried everything in the past...I can't begin to tell you the WARS I had with these evil sores!
Well, I can finally say: I WON !!!

Cold sores are very common - and gross. I have one right now...they are a virus contracted in many different ways - sharing an apple, a glass, kissing...
It's called Herpes, but it's not the genital variety if it's on the mouth. It'll go away within a week or so and you'll be safe to kiss again. For now, stay away from that lip!

Cold sores are caused by a VIRUS. Trust me, I have it. It's a type of herpes, which can be contracted from doing just about anything from sharing a cup to kissing. Unfortunately, there is no cure...but cold sores only appear once in a while, if your boyfriend is constantly breaking out then he should probably talk to a doctor. If not, then it should be fine, a lot of people get cold sores. Just don't kiss him when he has the cold sores!! They are very contagious.

You probably already know by now that it is a herpes virus. I can tell you the best medicine would be your own earwax! I know that sounds gross but you will not lick your lip (the infected area) and it will dry it up within a couple of days instead of the several days with the over the counter (OTC) medicines.
THEY ARE HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS

Could be a herpes, not just a sexual herpes but a herpes cold sore. Sometimes it comes from being run down or you are going to get sick. If you come into contact with the sore while it is contagious you might get one also.

A good sign? WTF? Yeah, festering, puss-filled growths on your upper lip are a good sign! C'mon now, thats obviously not a good thing. He's prolly been doing some serious muff divin'. I would not kiss him and I sure a heck would not let him get near my bearded clam with that crap... He probably got it from his previous Guatemalan prostitute girlfriend that he smuggled back to the states in his duffel bag. Tell him to go to the doc and get some Valtrex and STAY AWAY FROM HIS FACIAL CROTCH MONSTERS AT ALL COSTS!

Do not let him go down on you! You can definitely get herpes from that.
It's called a cold sore, but it's actually herpes... and if he goes down on you he can pass it to you, but you'll have genital herpes. You don't want that.
