Have you ever seen a Jewish person visiting your house with his torah, persuading you that his relgion is the best one, and hoping to get you to convert? I've only seen this in Christian based faiths.
Why is this?

The Christian Sect that I have been visited by are Baptists, Born agains, and assembly of Gods.

Mormons and JW too, but I think they extend past the branch of Christianity.

Christians. There are groups inside the Christians that don't. I have never gotten it from the Catholics either. I do respect that and stay off their case because of it.

Christianity is more forceful in missions because there is a verse somewherer in the new testament that tell us to go and spread the good news. Although I dont extedn it to knocking on peoples doorsteps. I find that very annoying especially when i live in a small town with over ten churches. I find that the Mormons are the worst about it. Most of their kids (and thats a LOT of kids) do it as a summer adventure, not really a job since i dont think they get paid. It just something they do.

Christianity is an extension of Judaism. Jesus is/was a Jew. Though the Jews are not responsible for Christ’s death, they did have a role in his prophesized Crucifixion. Jesus’ mission on earth was to save humanity from certain death, the consequence of sin. The Jews are still waiting for Messiah (Savior). Though there are many Jews today whom have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the common Jews are still blind and stuck with old tradition and rituals called Religion. Jesus’ message was to have a personal relationship with GOD our father and creator through him who paid the ultimate price for the salvation of our souls in eternity. Christians are called to follow and imitate Christ, sharing the Good News of salvation and life after our physical death. Jews usually stay within their own circles and do not share their beliefs with outsiders. Real conservative Jews don’t even like marrying outside their race, let alone convert anyone. PeAcE!!!

Christianity. I've been around Jews and have never had one try to convert me. I was told by one Jew that they do not believe in conversion (as a whole). They believe that God has put you on your path for a reason.

Christians do this because of something in the bible. I believe it's called the Great Commission. They say it tells all followers to go forth and spread the Gospel. *though if you read it in complete context in the Bible, he's only telling the Apostles to do this... not all followers*

Jesus drew near and said to them. " I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age." Holy Bible - Mathew 28 Verse 18-20

(2) This includes everyone, because there is no difference between JEWS and gentiles: God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to him ( Holy Bible - Romans 10 verse 12

I hope you have the right answer for your question.

I've never seen a Christian go door to door. This would be the Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons, both of whom aren't Christians, they're cults.

I know of no christians that go door to door. JW and Mormons strongly advocate this type of behavior. I am sure that it is part of their doctrine to do this. Do not confuse JW and Mormons with Christians. Different doctrine and different God.

Because Jesus told us to go out and preach the message. There is really not that many Christian based faiths doing this either anymore.

Please don't drive a further wedge between Christianity and Judaism. I love the Jewish people.

The real problem is with atheists and Muslims.
