Here are the verses that condemn occult practices, witchcraft, etc. You'd have to ignore a huge chunk of the Bible in order to think it's OK (I'm assuming you're a Christian).

Why do you want to try witchcraft? How familiar are you with our practices? What do you expect to gain inyour life?
You must ask yourself what YOU believe, what is in your heart. And not pay attention to any other persons advice on what is best for you, regardless of their religion. That is your decision and ultimately yours alone. Are you a follower of Jesus? If ypu are then witchcraft is not for you, stick with Christianity. If you are not a follower of Jesus and do not follow the bible, well, check into a lot of religions, not just witchcraft. Look into Buddhism as well. I would suggest the book "Wicca a guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. Wiccans and witches do not believe in the devil or in hell. We believe in re-incarnation in human form. It is a lifestyle more than a religion, and we LIVE our rede 24/7. and that is "do as you will and in it harm none". That goes for people, animals and any part of nature. If you can believe that is evil, I suggest you take a long hard look at exactly what we do.
Yes, I am a Witch, Pecti Witan, not a Wiccan who is involved in a coven, and have been for over 40 years (in this life). We don't recognize the existance of demons or the devil, so how could we worship something that isn't? Evil exists, that is a given, but it is of MAN not of nature. Doing anything even remotely evil goes against our principles. We do our best for humanity and the environment. If we were being influenced or led by the devil, why would he teach us how to use healing herbs and why would he want us to advocate saving the earth? Why would he want us to use our very being to help others? Doesn't that sound more like of "God" than of "Satan"? Can we be so mislead that we spend our entire lives doing good things for people & nature and helping in any way that we can that we are actually doing the work of the "devil"?!? Just because I don't accept Jesus most Christians will say I am going to hell! LMAO!!.
It is all up to you, but whatever you decide, please don't side with the close-minded, ignorant ones who continually condemn us.

The short answer is no.

The longer answer is there is no hell. The hell that christians have made popular is the lower levels of the astral realm..

This where you go if you cannot escape the clutches of emotion when you die. Try this series of artyicles on that subject..

You willl not go there by practicing witchcraft.

Before you try anything new its a good idea to do some research. Here are some articles on witchcraft that will get you started.

Hell is a Christian belief.
Here is the basic run down of what the Christian stance is.

"And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger." - 2 Chronicles 33:6

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." - Galatians 5:19 to 21

There are more, with reference to sorcery and so forth, but the basic run down, for Hell and Witchcraft, yep... you'll probably go there.
That is of course, if your Christian, or believe in Hell.
Hell is just a theory of course, its unproven.
Its up to you what you believe, have a scope around, there are hundreds of beliefs. Most say bad things happen to bad people. Are you a bad person? ... LOL :P

Witchcraft is not evil. In pure Wicca and other forms of Neo-Paganism there is no belief in the concept of hell. Thus, if that is your belief system, then there would be no point in worrying because it would not apply to you.

Although I must admit it is so amusing to see the people who have no real clue about witchcraft screaming about demons and damnation. If the fundies aren't peeing in somebody's Cheerios, they just arent happy....

We go to hell when we have rejected Jesus as our personal savior. Eternal life is with the acceptance of Jesus and he already made a way for you and what you have done is washed over by the blood of Jesus. He knows what is going on , but, and i do mean a big but..this is a dangerous place to go and play around with!! this is the devils favorite "open" door. Witchcraft will bring you into a convent relationship with the devil and all his cohorts that belong to him. NO such thing as a good witch, that's false, witchcraft and rebellion go together. They will own you and those who belong to you and getting rid of them wont be pleasant! Yes i know many witch's that have left their coven and accepted Jesus as their savior so yes Jesus came to set you free. Will you however, be able to get from the father of lies before he destroys you and everything you have? How far have gone into this? do you need to have demons all over your house? they love to move in when this craft is present, can you live with that?

Although many will spout "yes", I would say as long as your witchcraft is used to help others, of course not. If it's intended for evil purposes, then yes.

Well, all depends on what you believe, doesn't it? I don't even believe in hell. The Bible says you shouldn't do it...hence the justification for burning witches back in the 15th century or so. But I don't believe in that, either.

Personally, I'd say go for it, if you really want to try it. But ask yourself why it is you want to try it, and if you do try it, ask yourself if it is taking you to a place you want to go. If so, then more power to you...but if not, give it up.

If you do not belive in it why whould you try it. But to answer your question no. There is a power that answers spells and charms, but is that a power you want to deal with? In the end no one can serve two masters. You do wichcraft, or you do not, but if you do you can not also call yourself anything other that a part of the wiccan religion.

Are you claiming to be christian and want to try out witchcraft? Then, I would say that you probably are not a christian. If you were, you would desire what the spirit desires. If you are not a christian, one who accepts Jesus' payment for our offenses to God, then it doesn't matter what you try. You're already heading there unless you repent and trust in the savior.
