I'm old enough this isn't really going to affect me all that much unless it gets out of hand in the next twenty years. I've read all the previous answers and mostly shake my head in wonder meant not grasping how so many people can just dismiss this subject. The thought that keeps coming to my mind is this. When your grandchildren are asking you why you didn't do anything when you had time, didn't you care about their future, what are you going to tell them? I didn't believe it was true.

at the starting up, we are no longer all doomed. I do agree although that toxins isn't sturdy. no longer by way of mythical international warming link, yet only because that isn't any longer positive. We also pick to appreciate that fossil fuels are going to expire interior the no longer so distant destiny. each and each and every of the renewable means resources only do no longer produce adequate skill although. the in common words answer is Nuclear skill. Now i comprehend nuclear is an noticeably emotive difficulty, although that is extremely very sparkling and, interior the right fingers, completely probability-free. It also helps means to be produced on a huge scale. I can also't trust that scientists can't arise with some thing except oil depending fuels for powering automobiles. Given really encouragement, and distinctive investmentment, i'm particular they could.

Global warming and cooling have been happening for centuries. There are periods in history that were hotter than it is now. For example, from A.D.900 to A.D.1100, a period referred to as the "Medieval Climate Optimum," global temps were warmer on average than at present. When you said "repair the damage we have done to this planet," were you referring to the hole in the ozone? The ozone hole is actually merely a thinning of the ozone layer rather than a hole and appears to be a natural phenomenon. If you were referring to that, then I'm sorry, but we didn't damage the ozone by releasing chlorine into the atmosphere. Nature puts FAR more chlorine into the atmosphere than people.
For example:
~Ocean evaporation- 600 million tons per year
~Volcanoes- 36 million tons per year
~Burning of organic substances- 8.4 million tons per year
~Plankton- 5 million tons per year
Total natural sources: 649.4
Chlorine in man-made CFC's (chlorofluorocarbons): 0.75 million tons per year
Chlorine theoretically released by the alleged breakup of man-made CFC's: 0.0075 million tons per year
Nature has been doing this for centuries and will continue for centuries to come with no ill effects.
Although it is true that carbon dioxide and methane levels have increased over the years and it may be due to man's efforts, all scientific evidence that has been gathered indicates that there is no danger of a global warming disaster. The predictions of global warming are based on theory alone. Once again, nature contributes more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere than man. While man contributes about 7 billion tons of CO2 to the atmosphere per year, nature contributes about 200 billion tons to the atmosphere every year.
This will continue until the end of time and there will be no global warming disaster. Don't worry.
I hope this helps! =)

What are you worried about? Mass extinctions have occurred periodically in the history of the world. Look at it this way: every living thing on this planet will die sooner or later, so too for species. If we all die together, the only difference is that there will be no sadness when we're gone. How can that be bad? Eventually, the biochemical soup will produce a new life form, it will evolve and become intelligent. Perhaps it's descendant will hold your skull in it's tentacles and wonder if such a primitive creature could be sentient.

The real problem is that reputable scientists are now saying that even if we take major action now, it may be too late, that if we did everything we need to do right now, climate will continue to warm, and the polar ice will continue to melt, for at least the next 100 years. And that is if we do everything we need to do right now!
I still think we should do it though. But I think some pretty bad things are going to happen because we didn't do something 25 years ago.
And what a crock of baloney about global warming being nothing but an unproven theory! The polar ice caps are melting. That is happening. It isn't just a theory. And as they melt, the ocean will continue to rise. Unproven theory, my tired old behind.

As soon as it is proven & not just scientific theory. Scientific facts
are not in question by half the scientist. Gravity exist, evolution is a theory,& global warming is still just a theory. Weather has changed all through history - history talks about the severity of cold in places killing thousand ( NC for one area) but you could live outside in a tent in NC now so cabins should have worked then - so weather must change.

Yes well the same thing was being said during the ice age scare in the late 70's and it's obvious we aren't frozen in an iceberg. People made a lot of money over that one. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the same ones are making it with the global warming when people stopped buying the ice lie.Look up ice age worries in the 70's on Google.

Put down your copy of The New York Crimes , I mean Times , and where in God`s Universe did you get these "facts" ?? Some folks just won`t take the time to find things out for themselves , they only know what somebody tells them , ! But remember , listening to al gore will cause you to go blind !! By the way , in your question you start with the following ..Global Warming ( is ) , ? Can you give us your definition of what " is " is ?? -------------------- Ecclesiastes 3 : 9 -15 .. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth ? I have seen the travail , which God hath given to the sons ` of men to be exercised in it ..He hath made every thing beautiful in his time : also he hath set the world in their heart , so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end ..I know there is no good in them , but for a man to rejoice , and to do good in his life .. And also that every man should eat and drink , and enjoy the good of all his labour , it is the gift of God .. I know that , whatsoever God doeth , it shall be for ever : nothing can be put to it , nor any thing taken from it : and God doeth it , that men should fear before him .. That which hath been is now ; and that which is to be hath already been ; and God requireth that which is past !****** So relax , enjoy your life as you were meant to ; and remember : God is in control , if you know Him ,you`ll be fine ??

what a bunch of crap, yes humans may have played a roll of some kind but it is mostly just a natural cycle. If it is to be that the earth shall be rid of humans then we brought it on our selves. The dinosaurs where here and died, many other forms of life where here and died, what makes us so special. Just a natural order of Darwin's theory no? live for today for tomorrow we may die.
