yea,i kno how u must feel, well ask urself this, would u picture urself ever kissing him, and if it is a yes, then u could possibly go out, depending on how u feel about even going out with him in the first place, but if it is a no, then u prob. dont feel comfortable going out with him, and also think about how this might affect ur friendship with him, but if u hav been friends for that long of time, then a fight might not ruin u two, but just think about that too, so just listen to what u think is right for u and him

Well, Since it's your best friend and that person knows you best, it might work out but it you'll feel too awkward, you should say no, but say with good reason.

Chances are if you should ever break up, then you'll lose a best friend. I suggest go on about 1 or 2 days and if you still feel awkward, you owe it to your best friend to say the truth. Tell that person that if you should break up, you'll lose your best friend and you don't want that to happen.

Hope I was of help!

I was friends with a guy for about 4 years and we realized we had feelings for each other. We weighed the pro's and con's and decided to date. That was three years ago and we're now married!
It was a chance we took knowing it could ruin our friendship if it didn't work out. But, it was and is the best relationship by far, that I have ever had simply because we were friends first. You have a different respect for that person and you know how special they are to you going into the relationship.
Good luck!!

Why not....go for it! You're still young right? Have fun. Plus if you guys are friends you must have a lot of things in common. The only thing to know is if it doesn't work (not to jinx anything)....will you guys still be able to remain friends? Or if you break up will you guys lose the friendship? Other then that......7 years is REALLY good....who knows...this one will probably go for the long run! You won't know unless you try. Just think about it before you give him an answer. Best wishes!

If you feel awkward liking him. Then, I wouldn't go out with him only because I would think it should be mutual. I would just let him know that you, it's not easy to say but, because of the long term friendship. But, being honest with him about how you feel is important. He should hopefully understand and respect it considering the length of time he's known you. Either way on your decision....I hope it works out!

Ooh this is tough! It depends on how much you really like your friend. Seven years is a long time to know someone, so if you reallllllly feel like you like him, you know you can trust him. That is, if you haven't had problems trusting him in the past. Go with your gut, but if you feel awkward liking him, then maybe you're better off as friends.

It only took him 7 years -- wow!

I married my best friend -- but it took him 17 years to figure it out!

Say yes -- there is nothing better than being in love with someone who already knows (almost) everything about you -- and he still LIKES YOU anyway!

GO FOR IT!

I am dating my best friend.....its the best thing....i prefer dating a friend over just some random guy....but only go out with him if it feels right to you.....once you take that step then there is no turning back....things will never be the same again if you guys break up

This has happened 2 me before. I say only if you like him to, but also, make sure that if you do go out , that if you break up, that you'll do your best just to be friends again , but never regret nothing! Good Luck!
