I have 4 dogs that are obsessed with eating the cat poop out of the liter box!

We have moved the box to various locations in the house and have put up baby gates but they've learned to jump them (or squeeze their way under them). We punish them EVERY time but they still insist on this habit!

What else can we try?!

I had a similar problem with one of my dogs, only she would eat her own and other dogs' poops. There are a variety of remedies for this problem (which is scientifically referred to as "Coprophagia"), though not all work for every dog. According to one website, you can put a small amount of canned pumpkin into - in this case - your cat's food, and its poop will not be as "appetising" to your dogs. Also, you can try the same thing with garlic and pineapple. However, before you try this, Google it to check serving size and to see if these options are compatible with your cat's food. Also, I have read that at pet stores they sell a pill called "For-Bid" that you can give to your cat to make its poop less appetising for your dogs. Another option, which really depends on the size of your dogs, is to get a covered litter box. The last thing I can think of is to either - brace yourself, this is gross - put hot chili powder in your cat's litter box to make the poop less appealing or coat the poop with Tabasco (I told you it was gross) to make the poop "too hot" for your dogs to handle.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Dogs like to eat from the cat box and normally that is not a serious problem. However, the litter that clumps when moisture is added can cause problems when ingested. This litter forms an insoluble mass inside the pet that eats from the cat box. This can cause a lot of digestive problems for the animal that eats the litter.
My suggestion is to eliminate that clumping litter in favor of a natural litter. You should also cover your litter box so that your dogs can't eat the contents. If you notice vomiting and excess water drinking in the dogs that are eating the cat box contents, you really need to get on top of this situation right away. There are reports of dogs that have died from impaction that was caused by eating the clumping litter.

even as my canines develop right into a doggy, she develop into fascinated by the cat muddle too. yet we had an igloo variety muddle field that our cat might want to crawl in although the canines couldn't. i recommend that. also we all started practise our doggy with the "go away it" command on each and every occasion we wanted her to go away some thing on my own. So on each and every occasion she'd get too on the point of the field, an person-friendly stern "go away it" made her shrink back. it extremely works. you may attempt practise your canines through putting a take care of on the floor about a foot remote from him. he will flow for the take care of evidently and consider to dam him from getting it even as announcing "go away it" sternly. keep pushing him remote from the take care of and say "go away it" persistently. After a lengthy time period he will relent and only wait (do not provide in, or he will under no circumstances study). Then make him wait somewhat then praise him and grant him the take care of. Your canines will instantly study what "go away it" means and then you'll prepare this to the muddle field. sturdy luck!!
