To take that will numb you down enough to make it so you can actually function without racing thoughts and high anxiety?

There are several medications that help reduce anxiety and mania (racing thoughts). They are all prescription meds, so you will need to see a doctor to get them. Sometimes, the doctor will have to try 2 or 3 different meds before finding one that works well for you.

Seroquel or Zyprexa. It may knock you out for a few weeks, but then you adjust and the racing thoughts and anxiety (and sleep!) get better. Best to see a psychiatrist, though. Some regular docs are starting to Rx these drugs, but I would want meds as strong as these to be Rx'ed to me by a specialist.

Go to the doctor.
Xanax is the widest perscribed and most effective anti-anxiety.
it doesn't numb you down, it just takes the edge off.
you actually don't feel it kick in, your thoughts and heart just slow down and you can relax, without falling asleep.

Try a glass of warm whole milk and a banana. The warm milk is soothing and the Banana causes drowsiness.

Miss Scorpio!!! You cannot take meds to rid your problems. You need to exercise your mind. You need to believe in yourself and love yourself. That is the ONLY thing that will help you. Coming from experience.
