Check behind the the selector switch itself for loose connections or any other visible problems. Some vehicles use vacuum lines in the back of the selector so check for loose or leaking lines. Good luck

Typically, most cars/trucks have a diverter system that directs the air through the ducts under the dashboard. If you're not getting floor air, something is stuck, or, in vacuum-operated systems, there might be a vacuum tube loose. There's also relays that operate circuits to run vacuum motors and so forth, check for any loose wires, check the fuse panel, generally get a good flashlight and have a look around under the dash, also under the hood etc. If you can't figure it out, give your local dodge dealer a call...

i own a repair shop, and you either need a new inside control unit ,or one of the vacuum units that work the door for that side of it isn't working right, they have a vacuum line on them that can come off and cause this to happen, and the little vacuum unit its self can go bad ,but i have replaced a few of those control units that was doing this,Chevy's are bad to do this also,id check the little hose on it first then check the unit, and then the control unit ,it has to be one of those for sure wrong with it,good luck i hope you get it fixed,

sounds like the heater door is stuck. There are doors operated by either vacuum actuated valves or manual cables, and sometimes either the vacuum valve goes bad, or the vacuum line gets pinched, or the cable gets kinked, or there could be something in the way casing the door to not open properly.
