That depends so much on how you use it! My mom cleans the restroom after every use but I don't, I live alone anyhow and no one else ever uses it (never get visitors, I like meeting people elsewhere but at home I'm as territorial as my cats :)). I'll clean it whenever I look back and think it's gross, which can be after two weeks or after one use depending on, well, 'traces' left behind ::grin:: I do have a toilet block so there's some chemicals coming through there every flushing.

The shower I rinse every time I get out, that helps a lot! And I remove any hairs/soap scum from the drain. If you just step out and let the soap scum dry up it looks gross after just a couple days, it's probably a good breeding ground for bacteria and once dried, it's also very hard to scrub off. But if you rinse it with hot water after you step out you can do cleaning it far less, I give it a real scrub only every other week or so and it usually isn't much of a job.

Anything used by more people should also be cleaned more often, especially if you have visitors using your facilities. It's not just the amount of germs on any of these surfaces; it's also whether they're your own, from close family that you have loads of contact with, or from a stranger. Bacteria aren't all the same, but rather there are many different kinds, and resistance is also very specific. Your body won't get sick from your own germs unless you let them build up to a *very* high level but may easily get sick from a germ it hasn't encountered before.

It depends on how often you use the bathroom and how many people. I would say for a couple - cleaning the bathroom would be once every two to three weeks. However, if an entire family of four is using the same bathroom, I'd say at least once a week.

Once a week at least. I wipe down the sink every day, do the toilet and scrub the sink once a week, and clean the grout in the shower every other week.
I also make sure to clean the bathroom floor each week. I don't know where all that fuzz and hair comes from, but it seems to collect in the bathroom!

One should definitely clean it once it appears to have been used. If you clean up every day then it always looks presentable and takes only a few minutes. Place a toilet bowl cleaner in your tank to make toilet cleaning a cinch. As for the tub and shower (which I hate most), I highly recommend using a daily cleaner. If you spray after each shower you almost never have to clean. Wipe down the sink with your washcloth after washing your face, etc. I also stash rags in the bathroom to mop the floor. Much easier than dragging a mop in there and gets the floor much cleaner. If you tidy it a little bit every day then you'll never have to ask this question again and you'll never have to really work at it.

Wipe down the sink and counter every day. The toilet at least twice a week and the tub & shower a quick wipe after use and weekly spray and scrub. Floors same as the rest of the house as needed. With 2 dogs and cats in our house that means daily. Daily routine stuff I, for the rest I have a housekeeper come in and do. Best cleaner I've ever had is a gay guy I grew up with. Super cleaner and great gossiper.

I spritz my sink each day so it's always clean. It's to get rid of toothpaste residue and hair, etc.

I clean thoroughly once a week. I also use a Bleach toilet bowl tablet in the toilet tank.

I like Fantastik Antibacterial Lemon cleaner best bc it disinfects and shines well too.

Oddly enough, there are more germs around our kitchen than in our bathrooms - that's probably due to moistness, food residues and dirty sponges & washcloths. I always use paper towels and disinfecting sprays instead of sponges. I use a sponge for scrubbing in the kitchen and then disinfect that with bleach water.

I give my bathroom a goof cleaning every week, But if I see the Mirror all spotted during the week, I clean that. If the sink is dirty, I clean that too. You can tell when you go into it, if it needs a cleaning.

At least once a week. The cheapest and most effective thing for sinks and toilets is plain rubbing alcohol on a sponge or cloth to sanitize and remove soap scum. I use a cleaner made to dissolve scum in the tub and scrub the toilet bowl with powdered cleanser and a brush. Just don't ever let it look dirty and it won't be.

Every 2 days. If you leave it too long, the grime will be harder to scrub off and it will take more energy doing it. The more often you clean it, the easier it is because the grime is less.

It depends on how many use the BR. I have a house hold of 3 and I disinfect my tub after every shower to prevent foot fungus and I wipe down my stool every night with a lysol disinfectant cloth to keep the germs down. This is just my habit.
